Welcome to our little review of Naples. We have Instagram Friends that absolutely love Naples. We were aware that it was heavily populated and that really didn’t bother us. It’s the home of pizza so we had to go! It’s also the home of the National Archaeological Museum which Kay really wanted to see. We had originally planned to eat at one of the most famous pizza restaurants in Italy. They serve two types of pizza cheese and Margherita, that’s it! People will wait in line for 4 hours to eat at this place. If you’ve ever watched “Eat, Pray, Love” it’s where Julia Roberts has the best pizza of her life.

If you’ve read any of our other post you would know that this is where we had our pick-pocketing incident. So we stayed close to the apartment. Kay and I were both surprised at the graffiti everywhere not just in Naples but others cities too. Some even on historical buildings. It’s not uncommon for their to be graffiti on our Air BnB doors or entrance. I guess because of our experience it just left a bad impression. The pizza class was interesting but not really what we were looking for and the museum had loaned many of the things we were hoping to see out to their traveling exhibit. The National Archaeological Museum has relics from Pompeii. We did see some unreal statues that can’t travel. I honestly, didn’t see enough of Naples to give an honest review. However, based on our experience we won’t go back.

Toffini Academy is a working culinary school that sends it’s students out into Michelin Star restaurants. We took a class on how families make pizza at home.

Pompeii relics and Tiny Garbage Trucks because old streets are so narrow.

Our pizza is completely different now but this was where the seed was planted and the The Classic Melt was born. So technically, it started in Naples too!
